The UA Student Vets Center is staffed by trained student veterans who have transitioned to the University and are knowledgeable about the campus. The Student Vets Center staff offers individualized service to improve the experience of all vets at the UA. The center is a casual, safe place for student veterans to relax and study.

An increase of veteran enrollment at the UA can be attributed to the rise in GI Bill use, as well as troops returning from the war in Afghanistan.

Members of the UA chapter of Student Veterans of America recently participated in the Combat Paper Project. As part of the project, students and veterans cut up their retired military uniforms and processed the pieces into pulp, then paper, creating journals, canvases, masks and other works of art.

Mental Health Services for Student Vets & Family Members on UA Campus
University of Arizona student veterans & their family members (must be UA student) are eligible for mental health services offered on campus by Counseling and Psych Services (CAPS) staff. Counseling services for student veterans & family members are also offered by V.A. counselors who are on campus on Mondays & Thursdays.
