Empower Military-Connected Students.

As the VETS, ROTC, and military-connected student population at the University of Arizona grows, so does our need for essential programs and resources. VETS provides services for over 6,000 military-connected students, helping them succeed academically and personally. Your support can make a lasting impact - contributing to programs that offer educational resources, career readiness, and a strong community.  To learn more about how you can make a difference, please contact Blaze Smith, Director of VETS & ROTC.

Scholarships

With the help of supporters like you, we've recently begun offering scholarships specifically for military-connected students. However, there is still a tremendous need for further support. Currently, around 2,000 students use GI Bill benefits, leaving nearly 4,000 others to finance their education on their own. Your contributions can help us expand these scholarships and provide crucial financial assistance.

ROTC

The University of Arizona's ROTC programs for the Air Force, Army, and Navy uphold a rich legacy of military education dating back to 1896, supporting students in leadership development and military service. Each branch program offers unique training and countless opportunities to enrich students' success and prepare them for future military leadership.

Veteran Convocation

In 2019, VETS began hosting a graduation ceremony for our student veterans. This ceremony invites family and guests to help us honor the commitment their veterans made to earning their degree. We bring in keynote speakers and provide each veteran with a custom graduation stole featuring their branch of service.

Warrior Scholar Project

WSP empowers enlisted military veterans by providing them with a skill bridge that enables a successful transition from the battlefield to the classroom, maximizes their education opportunities by making them informed consumers of education, and increases the confidence they will need to successfully complete a rigorous four-year undergraduate program at a top-tier school. The University of Arizona is one of a handful of host schools for WSP, sharing the honor with Yale, Texas A&M, Harvard and others.

Honor Flight Southern Arizona

VETS works with Honor Flight to send several student veterans and allies each year to serve as Guardians for Honor Flight. Honor Flight Southern Arizona provides WWII, Vietnam and Korean War Veterans the opportunity to see their national memorials in Washington DC. These are the men and women who availed themselves in a national effort to keep America safe from foreign threats and It is now our responsibility to keep them from being forgotten, and to thank them for a job they did so long ago.

Student Veterans of America Career Fair

The University of Arizona Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter serves military-connected students by hosting an annual career fair, bringing several Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, non-profits, and local companies together in an effort to help our students land a job as they prepare to graduate.
