VA Work Study Program

If you’re a full-time or 3/4-time student in a college degree, vocational, or professional program, you can “earn while you learn” with a VA work-study allowance. You’ll earn an hourly wage equal to the Federal minimum wage or your State minimum wage, whichever is greater.

All VETS VA work studies are required to perform a project to better serve the community and military-connected student population.  To increase your chances to earn a position, send a résumé and letter of intent to the Director of the VETS Center, Bruce Grissom bgrissom@arizona.edu.  Be creative and use your letter of intent to detail ideas, skills, and experience that you could bring to our staff.  Students have had projects ranging from providing academic assistance, outreach, to mural painting and app development.
